Mound Chapel Church of God
At Mound Chapel we keep things pretty simple.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit
to write words of Scripture and is without error or contradictions.
We believe Jesus Christ is the embodiment of God come to earth and offers us forgiveness, love, acceptance, and a whole new way of life. All of which offers to us for free.
We believe as a church we're to focus on three tasks:
Love God. Love others. Share what we've discovered with friends, family, and coworkers.

Pastor Ted often says, "We make being a follower of Jesus way more complicated that it should be." In addition, Pastor Ted makes the Bible much easier to understand. That's because he keeps things fairly simple and more importantly, he explains how you can apply what you read to your every day life. In addition he's taught a Bible study class "How to Study the Bible," to literally hundreds of people over the years.
One of his greatest outreach passions was his ministry to the women’s prison in Decatur. He and his team lead a regular worship service each month for over ten years. Pastor Ted received the Volunteer of the Year Award at the Decatur Correctional Center in 2012. For a pastime, Pastor Ted enjoys playing golf when he gets a chance. He also performed 1950s and 60s music in the band called "Kidd Kaddilac and the Continentals" that grew out of a seniors’ event at one of his previous churches.
Feel free to send him a message if you have any questions!
